Fill the Land with Cinemas

Declarations for Cinema from the Scala Beyond network

DECLARATION #3: Pub Space

Pub Space is a relatively new initiative that strives to turn the oft disused rooms in pubs into places where the public can enjoy many forms of cultural recreation. This not only benefits them, but also the small businesses involved. Our cinematic ethos is very simple: we want to present an eclectic mix of fantastic films from all genres in interesting, unusual and fun ways. We particularly love to programme cross-platform events, double bills and seek to showcase the talents of new filmmakers. We pride ourselves on creating a unique, all-encompassing, memorable experience that audiences will want to share with their friends. There are few things better than concocting an event that will inform, inspire and entertain – often via a mix of enjoyable peripheral activities. That feeling is simply incredible and addictive. It’s the reason for our existence.

Hayley, Pub Space.
